		<description>M1 means make one.  It can be by knitting into the ladder between the knit stitch and the next knit stitch, or by making a loop with the yarn, twisting it, then putting the twisted loop over the right hand needle.  You could always do your favourite increase (knit into the front and back etc).  The goal is to have one more stitch than before.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;hope this helps.</description>
